The new variant of JioFi has been launched at a price of Rs 999. Jio hotspot device price is inclusive of the 60 percent discount. However, the device is not listed on Jio's official website. The JioFi JMR815 has a download speed of 150Mbps and upload speed of 50 Mbps. It is like a sleeker version of JioFi which makes the device easy to carry around. There is not much difference in terms of features or price. The battery back up is slightly improved with a 3000mAh rechargeable battery. Another major change is the design which is circular in comparison to oval shape of earlier models.

JioFi JMR 815 Design:

This new variant supports a different design as compared to the earlier version of JioFi. The Wi-Fi dongle has a circular body with two physical buttons for WPS and power on/off. The notification lights display battery level, 4G, and Wifi strength. Speaking about the build quality,

JioFi JMR 815 has a designed in India tag on one side whereas on other side is mentioned the brand name. The new JioFi device dimensions, Width: 74 mm Height: 74 mm Depth: 20 mm.

The data card has a 3,000 mAh battery which is slightly more than the older version. The slightly improved battery gives a backup of 8 hours. It takes about 3.5hours to fully charge JioFi JMR 815. In fact the slightly improved battery is one of the main changes of this newly launched device.
