Jio Rs 199 Plan comparison with Airtel and Vodafone Postpaid plan
So far Reliance Jio has shaken the telecom sector with its aggressive pricing and dirt cheap tariff plans. It seems the Mukesh Ambani led company wants to target the postpaid subscriber base of incumbents like Airtel, Vodafone, and Idea. Notably, Airtel and Vodafone are market leaders in this section of the market with a majority of subscribers.
If we look at the other postpaid plans available in the market. Airtel infinity plan offers unlimited calling, free roaming, and 20GB data at Rs 399. Vodafone Red postpaid plan comes with almost the similar benefits at the same price. The Idea Nirvana postpaid plan is priced at 389. This postpaid plan offers 20GB of data along with free unlimited local and STD calls. In each of these plans, the international calling service is not pre-activated.
With the new Rs 199 plan, Jio is all set to make a paradigm shift in the postpaid services similar to that of the prepaid. It will be interesting how the incumbents react to this new move of Reliance Jio. In the past, they have tried to match the dirt cheap tariff plans of the Mukesh Ambani led company.
