Jio Phone Delivery Starts - Expect to Get Yours in 10-15 Days

The long wait for people who had booked Jio Phone is over as the company has started delivery of its budget-oriented 4G device. As per the latest reports, the distribution will be completed within 15 days. Jio Phone booking commenced on August 24 with over 6 million order for the 4G handset. The delivery of the low-cost 4G mobile phone will begin from rural areas and small towns. The preference will be given to rural areas and small towns as Jio Phone is said to bridge the gap between rural and urban India.

Earlier, Reliance jio was expected to start delivery of its VoLTE feature phone from September 1. But the delivery was postponed due to the heavy response. Reliance Jio had to pause pre-bookings of its feature phone after receiving more than six million orders. The company has promised to begin the next round of bookings very soon. Probably, it will start once it completes delivery of the first batch.

Jio phone is available for pre-booking for a refundable deposit of Rs. 500. The remaining amount of Rs. 1000 is to be paid at the time of receiving the handset. The entire amount of Rs. 1500 is refundable to the customer after three years provided he/she returns the phone. With the entire cost being refundable, Jio Phone is effectively free for its buyers.

Jio Phone was announced earlier this year at the 40th Annual General Meeting of RIL. Mukesh Ambani launched the VoLTE enabled feature phone at an effectively free. At the event, Reliance Jio Chairman Mukesh Ambani also announced a new recharge plan at Rs. 153. This plan provides Reliance Jio Phone subscribers unlimited calling and data for a month.

The 4G handset has a 2-megapixel camera at the back and a VGA camera on the front. Jio Phone is powered by a removable 2000 mAH battery. Jio Phone comes with preloaded jio apps and can be connected with a television for watching live TV using Jio TV app. On the connectivity front, the 4G handset comes with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GEO Location tracking feature. JioPhone is the most affordable VoLTE mobile phone in the market. It comes loaded with many advanced features like voice assistant.
